| Welcome to Applied Technology Applied Technology is a brand new Exploratory class for 7th and 8th grade students! 7th Grade We will learn about the history of the Internet and how to effectively search and evaluate information they find on the Internet. We will have an opportunity to learn Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. 8th Grade We will learn some advanced Internet search techniques and Website evaluation strategies. We will look inside a computer to see how it actually works and learn some advanced features in Word and Excel. We will explore Photoshop and the students will create a Website. We will work individually and in groups to complete weekly projects in class. The goal of the class is to introduce students to different technologies and to demonstrate how technology is used to communicate information in many different formats. | |
